About us
Iris Freie
Iris Freie is an industrial pharmacist. She graduated from the University of Groningen in 1995.
Since then, she has worked in product development and quality assurance within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, dietary supplements, and cosmetics industries. She has been working at Zagt & Van Elk since 2015.
Her areas of expertise are:
- Safety assessments
- Claims substantiation
- Setting up and conducting stability studies
- Drawing up procedures and specifications
She is particularly interested in borderline products: products whose legal status is unclear.


Ameing Liao-Tang
Ameing Tang is a food technologist. She graduated from Wageningen University in 2002.
After graduating, she worked for ten years at various cosmetics companies, including Unilever, Sara Lee, and Colgate-Palmolive. Her roles included product developer, supervising projects from the concept phase through to initial production. Since then, she has gained extensive experience in product development and quality processes in the cosmetics industry and cosmetics legislation.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Drawing up specifications and production processes
- Knowledge of raw materials and their applicability in cosmetics
- Legal labeling requirements, including claims
- Safety assessments
